United Methodist Women

Leader: Sharon Fosburg

The Longview United Methodist Women have been in existence pretty much since the church was begun in 1953.  Then it was known as the “Women’s Society”.  We meet monthly at the church the first Thursday at 10:30 am for our business meetings.  Often we enjoy a program from something that is happening in the Longview area.  We usually share a potluck lunch, bring a sack lunch or go to a local restaurant after our meetings.

We are very involved in our community, providing support for Community House on Broadway, the Emergency Support Shelter, the local chapter of the Salvation Army and Community Health Partners.

We oversee the operation of our church kitchen and make sure that it is supplied at all times.  Our main fundraising projects are an annual rummage sale iand the making of holiday rolls.

All women involved in the life of the church are welcome and encouraged to attend any and all of these meetings and gatherings!  Our groups have a great time of fellowship and support with and for each other.  We’d love to have you join us.
